Vacation In Soldotna - Sold Yet?

Set just along the Kenai Peninsula, and southwest of Anchorage, Soldotna is located on banks of the Kenai River. The Soldotna area is rich in outdoor activities - try fishing at the Cook Inlet near the town of Kenai. The town has many beautiful parks along the river to enjoy, along with great wildlife views at Kenai National Wildlife Refuge - be sure to try some nice hiking trails at the Skilak Wildlife Recreation Area. For even more displays of natural beauty, you’ll want to check out Captain Cook State Park and Russian River Falls.

If they weather isn't playing nice, be sure to check out the Soldotna Historical Society & Museum - no admission fee. Ninilchik Village (home to 1800s historic structures), the Wildlife Museum and Historic Village (original homesteader cabins and artifacts), and the Russian Orthodox Church in Old Town Kenai - built 1894 - all offer plenty of history.
