Alaska Sealife Center

As the only wildlife rescue center and public aquarium along the Bay, the center strives to educate its visitors, while conducting valuable research of Alaska's ecosystems. For ten years, this wonderful center has educated its visitors on the Alaskan wildlife, as well as cared for injured marine animals.

Stroll through the exhibits to see harbor seals, puffins, a Steller sea lion swimming in the water, a Giant Pacific octopus, Alaskan king crab, deep sea fish and sea stars. This non-profit center, affiliated with the University of Alaska Fairbanks, remains the only cold-water research facility in the country. The center's state-of-the-art laboratory equipment and some of the world's top marine scientists, have helped pioneer research since 1998.
