Alaska Botanical Garden
Opened in July of 1993, the Alaska Botanical Garden covers nearly 110 acres of land near the Far North Bicentennial Park in Anchorage. Open year round, the botanical garden is an ideal destination to learn a bit about the native Alaskan flora.
Whether you're staying in Anchorage or driving in from nearby Wasilla for a fun day trip, make plans to visit the gardens. Traverse the rich birch and spruce woodland southeast of downtown Anchorage when you explore the garden.
From June to August, the Alaska Botanical Garden offers daily, guided tours through the Wildflower Trail, the Rock Garden, Herb Garden, and the Lower and Upper Perennial Gardens.
